Upon graduating high school in 2008, Mel planned to become a marriage and family therapist. Once she received her bachelor’s degree from USU in Family, Consumer and Human Development, she discovered that teaching the yoga practice to others was the perfect way to combine her passions for yoga and therapy. She received my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Inversion Yoga in Jackson Hole in 2014.
From early on she knew she wanted to invest in being an educator of yoga. She loves what the practice does for her, mentally and physically, but more importantly she loves sharing what the practice can do for others. Mel feels that teaching is her favorite aspect of yoga. She believes that an individual encompasses all the tools he/she needs to change his/her life for the better, and Mel strives to help others see this power through her teaching. Mel believes that her students are 100% her biggest motivators and inspiration.
